More or less, all the downloads you need are here........You need the BAT, the BAT Update, and I think the EP Update.

Minor correction... You do need Rush Hour or Deluxe with the EP1 patch and the SC4Update4BAT. But you don't need the actual BAT program if all you want is for night lights to function.

1. Can you show us what kind of error that you see when updating the game ?

2. Have you check your game's version ? If the version is already updated (version 1,1,640 or 1,1,641), there will be no need to re-update it.

3. Where did you get the game ? If you got it from torrent, then I suggest you to buy the legal version instead. I ever saw where the price is just $5. Downloading it from a torrent and used a cracked version is not recommended at all and we are not supporting anyone use it.

Also, please, don't bump an old thread. Start a new topic instead another time.

The error says: "Old File not Found. However a different file of the same name was found." That's SimCity1.dat.

How about the game's version ?

To check the game's version, right click the game in the C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity4\Apps. Then click properties and then, you can know about the game's version. If the version is not 1,1,640/1,1,641, then you must retry to install the update. Also make sure if you have the EP1-Update1 installed. If you try to install the BAT Update first, then it won't work.

Go to https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php then scroll down to the EA support button and click it. Accept the agreement. Proceed to the BAT page, and pick up the update only. You don't need the BAT.
