Rofl, when you said "some pictures of Old Nova" i laughed. Nova means 'new' in Latin, so you actually said 'Old New' 3.gif

Cool city. I like the surroundings; the view is fantastic!

that's a plaza from the new plazas mod you can find on CXS.

And the city looks nice.... the roads are a bit small u can have problems with that in future times.

Yeah, the plaza mod is the source of all parking lots I've used -- it truly is a great mod... In terms of the roadways, widening is an option obviously, but so far there's little - if any - traffic congestion to speak of.... Eventually I plan to add a bypass or two and will try to experiment with elevated avenues.... We will see... I should have more time in June to work on my cities.... Freaking' Grand Theft Auto and Civ IV have stolen some of my time recently as well --- I still like CXL and SC4 the best though....

PS> Plus, when my spouse comes into my office, it ALWAYS looks better when I BUILD CITIES rather than beat up pedestrians and kill cops in GTA... LOL

Looking good. The city has a nice, dense, urban feel to it, with the narrow winding streets and apartment buildings.

Thank you --- that's what I'm aiming for, a mid-sized, but very urban city...

Welcome to another update (#5)... NOVA has received quite a makeover, mostly relating to transportation...

Check out this new expressway beltline around the city!!!:

    Photobucket

    Photobucket

It is elevated by OLD NOVA  / CBD:

    Photobucket

    Photobucket

    Photobucket

Some residents have complained that the highway effectively cut-off the City from the oceanshore....

    Photobucket

Proponents poinmt out to the fact the highway is elevated and there's ample access to the shore nearby -- akin to this:

Surface parking lots downtown have been replaced with garages:

    Buses buses new buses...

I enjoy the way you haven't over-used skyscrapers, and your growth has a nice pace.  I love seeing a believable smooth transition from the highest density building to the lowest and undeveloped land.
