This city looks quite nice and realistic too! 44.gif

I love that suspension bridge which crosses the river.

Where did you get the mod for the roundabouts and the different colour for the sidewalks? I would like to include them in my cities.

No. I have many tests this week and the next weeks. No exams however but I'm not in the mood to play CXL. So no updates soon. It's lovely weather anyway!

Hello, the new update is arriving earlier than Jazyje predicted, so surprise! 3.gif

In this update I'll show you some random pictures and the developement of the new CBD + new industrial district.

The new CBD. 90% finished, need to add the finishing touch.
    gamescreen0017-2.jpg
    gamescreen0018-2.jpg
    gamescreen0020-1.jpg

A view from the new CBD to the older one:
    gamescreen0012-1.jpg

    ----

This is the new industrial district. It's located in Vocaria forest.
    gamescreen0021-1.jpg

    gamescreen0022-1.jpg

Wind power is conquering Timet. The wind turbines are now responsible for 25% of Timet's electricity needed for the Industry, and 10% for the offices. The plan is to raise the percentages by 10% in the next 5 years.

    gamescreen0024-1.jpg

The new industrial district has a ring road going around it, to prevent congestion. It's working.

    gamescreen0023-1.jpg

    ----

Some pictures of the different residential areas in Timet.

    The suburbs:
    gamescreen0004-2.jpg
    gamescreen0003-2.jpg
    gamescreen0002-3.jpg

The mid-density appartements closer to the centre:
    gamescreen0006-3.jpg
    gamescreen0008-2.jpg

    The poorest residences in Timet:
    gamescreen0010-2.jpg

    And the living CBD.
    gamescreen0009-2.jpg

    ----

Traffic is getting more dense. This year the first traffic jams have taken place, going from the Industrial district and the little towns around Timet into the CBD's.

So it's better to drive on the highways at noon,
    gamescreen0025-1.jpg
    than at rush hour.
    gamescreen0027-1.jpg

Some overview shots to end this update:
    gamescreen0028-1.jpg
    gamescreen0026-1.jpg

This was it. Hope you enjoyed the update and see you in the next. Then I'll show you the finished industrial district + CBD and the Farming communities which are popping up everywhere, around Timet. Also, there's a big chance Timet has passed the 1.000.000 citizens mark, so see you later!

Lovely!!!! Great to see you back in action! I really like that new industrial district -- reminds me of something you'd see in the Netherlands or Italy where these types of industrial / warehouse districts are on the outskirts of town... Hey, what's that grand building in picture 3?

Thank you. 9.gif I believe it's a landmark or exceptional shop building. The name is something like 'Grand Victoria', or 'Queen Victoria' building.

That second to last picture is amazing. Will you decorate the highway intersection? It sticks out like a sore thumb.

The crazy thing about that highway intersection is that it takes so much room ---- its footprint is at least half of the CBD.... (check it out in the second to last picture)....

Yeah that's something I've found since playing CXL. For as advanced and free-style the road network is the highways are awfully rigid and inflexible.

That aside, great job thus far!

Thank you all. I'm busy changing the highway interchanges to normal interchanges. It looks a lot better as Patriotizzy mentioned. Thank you again for the interest 2.gif

Hello, I'm back again, with some pictures of the makeover of Main CBD, and the first pictures of the district of Groosham.. a derelict industrial area, with small row houses and much pollution.

Let's get started with Main CBD!

    gamescreen0041-1.jpg

    gamescreen0042-1.jpg

    gamescreen0043-1.jpg

    gamescreen0044-1.jpg

Night shot. Notice the new Stadium on the left side.

    gamescreen0034.jpg

Honduras Leisure Centre. There's a brand new soccer stadium, library, and a casino!

    gamescreen0038-1.jpg

The New Burson Freeway now has an interchange, to avoid traffic issues at rush hour.

    gamescreen0040-1.jpg

    "Welcome" to Groosham...Teaser pictures

    gamescreen0045-2.jpg

    gamescreen0046.jpg

    gamescreen0047.jpg

And, at last, an overview shot of Timet, made yesterday at noon.

    gamescreen0036.jpg

    Hope you enjoyed this update!!

Nice railways!!!! I don't see any trains though -- are they operational yet? I don't think so --- I couldn't take the train to the football stadium (at the Honduras Leisure Centre) today to watch the USA-GHANA game in Timet.... Had to drive.... Got to chat with Bill Clinton and Mick Jagger on the stands though...

Gosh, USA lost to Ghana today at the stadium in Timet!!!! Now I have to drive 4 hours to watch Germany-England tomorrow.

Ofcoure I'd prefer Copacabana palace, but it's at the other side of town! I f you don't want to drive that much I think you should go to the hotel next to it: Honduras Grandas. It's not that luxe as Copacabana but it's good enough for ya, I'm sure 2.gif. About the restaurants; you need to try Dickson's Panoramic Restaurant located in Main CBD. (In Timet, not in the city of Dickson itself!). And you also could try the restaurant on the second floor in the casino!

Hope this helps you in Timet haha. Have fun!3.gif
