Can I automatically subscribe to a thread when I just make a post?

I have posted in a few threads but was not automatically subscribed to them or notified of the replies. 

Is there a way to automatically be subsribed to threads that I post in, and get immediate email notifications?  My Proifle has my correct email address and in the Person Optoins I do have Subscription Delivery set to EMail ON.  Is there something else?  Or do I have to manually subscribe to every thread?

I'm afraid you'll have to subscribe to all the threads manually.

There is a way to subsribe to a post but it is not automatic.  However all you have to do is check a box.

If you reply (using the reply button) there is a subsicribe to topic checkbox. Click that then "Reply to Topic" and you will post and subsribe at the same time.

There is no way to do this with quick reply

I would also like to point out that the email subscriptions are currently not working. The PM ones, however, are. This problem should be fixed soon.

Depends how you set the settings in your profile.

Which setting would that be? I can't find anything in either page of my profile, or on my dashboard, that would let me receive emails when I get PMs, but I've wanted this option for quite a while.
