HSR over sunken highway?

Since it's my first post I have to say a billion thanks to everybody contributing in here, I just discovered this forum a couple of days ago and you have brought Sim City back to life for me! I had no idea mods of this quality existed, so THANKS!

Though reading the tutorials it was fairly easy to build sunken highways, GLR networks etc. I can't seem to solve the HSR over sunken highway! Is there something I'm missing? Like a HSR slope lot?

I tried with the monorail slope but when I connect it to the HSR there's no way I can turn the monorail to HSR to match!

Help anybody?

You should alredy have a HSR onslope piece ,you just have to find it. Its is in your HSR puzzle picies. Use the ground high speed rail tool, and press tab until you see the transistions, they should be the last ones. This will only work with GHSR, there are no onslope picies for HSR made yet.

As Xyloxadoria mentioned, there is no HSR on-slope piece as of yet. But if you're in a place where an overpass is necessary, it is possible to build a GHSR over sunken highway overpass using the GHSR on-slope pieces (there are actually two types). It is a bit different because there is no GHSR over Highway piece either.

First, you'll need to prepare the sunken highway a little to place the on-slope pieces. Level a few tiles on each side of the highway where the GHSR will be passing over it...

Next, select the GHSR on-slope piece that acts as a starter piece for HSR. Be sure to select the correct one, the other is a NO-HSR starter piece. Place one on each side of the highway. You will notice there is a two-tile gap where the highway runs through...

Now, select the Monorail tool and drag the rail across the gap, connecting the two on-slope pieces...

After that, you can complete the tracks by connecting the GHSR to HSR by using the HSR-GHSR transition piece (also in th GHSR menu)

Thanks a lot to both of you guys, I wasn't looking in the GHSR because I had no ground rail! That should work now!

And I have to figure out a way to use the sunken walls around this bridge. Probably the "T-intersection" walls will match this if you level a couple of more tiles!

BTW, you said it's not available "yet", are these mods still in development?

As with most of the transportation mods in current use, things are always being looked into as possible additions. So we can always hope...
