Alright, so I seem to have reached an inpass in my knowledge of city building. I have NAM installed, with simulator Z. What's weird is, I make plenty of jobs for the little dorks, but they don't go to work. Is there anything I am not doing? Thanks in advance.

Also, a picture of the layout of your city would be helpful. Also: what do you mean with 'they don't go to work'? Are you getting unemployment zots above their houses, or are your businesses understaffed?

Regards,

Korot

There is no crime in the town, it's an extremely small country town. I am getting the no job zots.

Perhaps your sims drive on the left side of the road, and you installed the NAM for the right side of the road? (or vice versa) If so, you will need to reinstall the NAM correctly.

Maybe you installed the "Park and Ride" component of the NAM, and now it takes too long for your sims to walk all the way to work. Check for that as well.

Or perhaps it is a Resident-Job mismatch? Your sims may be demanding jobs that you're not providing. Check your expanded demand graph (click on the RCI graph at bottom), and look at the individual commercial and industrial wealth type demand. Go to your Desirability Data map, click on each job wealth type in demand, and find the desirable locations in your city where these wealth types in demand will be built.

It's also possible that you taxed out the kinds of jobs that your sims need.

And finally, have you tried waiting for the zots to disappear? Sometimes they take a few months to update.
