I'm so tired of the repeated Maxis buildings.

They make my city look so uninteresting and dorky. Does anyone have some links to some growable commercial, residential, and industrial packs? All I can find is commerce buildings. And those barely show up. Thanks in advance.

The problem I find is that 99% of the growable buildings on the STEX are high-end skyscrapers, which is great for making downtown areas look diverse but doesn't help suburbs and small towns.

There is a good number of IHT packs in STEX. Search under high tech or IHT. I have also seen a lot of nice looking houses. You can go with entire packs like PEG's various styles. I think you can even block out certain Maxis buildings from occurring, but I never tried that mod.

There's plenty of light-density residential on the STEX and LEX. Search for SimGoober's stuff, his houses are some of the best.

There are also some Maxis building blockers on the STEX. You should use one of these to create a custom content only city.

The commercial stuff I've BATted was made specifically to dilute the Maxis pool, and it's mostly low density.

Thanks Madhatter, I downloaded some of your work. That'll add some variety to my commercial districts. Simgoober's stuff requires alot of BSC dependencies that I cannot find on this site. Anybody know how to help me out? Thanks in advance.

Go to SC4 Devotion's site and look at there dependency list. It will tell you where to find the dependencies.

I've always been tired of the Maxis farms, so i downloaded some other farms and found this mod: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=16472 - which disables ALL Maxis farms. It's a great mod, and Kwakelaar has made some good custom farms. You should try it!

Yeah, I was so sick of that repeated look, that's why I plop most of my buildings with the RH plopmod or my millions of dowloaded buildings.

Pegasus has done a great deal of content for rural and small town locales--you might try searching his user name.  Also, I have a number of files preceded by "JB Smalltown" that provide excellent "main street US"-style small commercial lots.
