night lighting

hello guys im newbie..

n i download lot of building from simtropolis

but why it doesnt have nightlighting??

i already download "UPDATE_SKU3_TO_P1_B638"  "SC4Update4BAT"

but why when i started it, it said " Patch error; old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found, no update donesince file content do not match"

help me pleaseee

Do you mean you have tried both the SKU3 patch and the SC4Update4BAT patch? If so, which one is giving the error message?

A couple things to check... Are you sure your game version needs the SKU3 update and not one of the others? Have you made any changes to the game files from the originals (example: No-CD cracks)? Any such changes will prohibit the patch.

Well the night lighting didn't work because probably you didn't download gmax and sc4 bat tool and its update.

Gmax and the Building Architecture Tool (BAT) are not required for night lights to simply appear in the game - only the SC4Update4BAT patch.

Hi, I ama new user to this site as well and have the same problem as the original poster. the error message "Patch error; old file not found. Welcome to Simtropolis...

First, do you have a CD version of the game or a downloaded version? If CD, you need to be sure you still have the original game files in use. If you've installed any unauthorized patches, the official patches won't be applied. Also, be sure you are trying to install the patch that matches your game version - not necessarily where you live or where you bought it from. You can check the version you have by hovering the mouse over the game's exe file in the C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps folder. If you let us know what the version number is, more specific assistance can be given.
