can't see some of the plugins

When i download some plugins, they don't appear inthe game or in the plugings directory, but if i try to download again, it asks me to overwrite them.

PC specs are: Windows 7 - Amd Athlon 7750 Dual core at 2.70 Ghz, 4 Gig Ram, ! gig video card.

You'll have to look to see where they are being downloaded by your system. When you start the download and it asks you to "ok"  the download, it SHOULD give you a LOCATION for the saved file. Write it down and go there to find the download. It would be not only unlikely buy in most cases wrong to download into your plugins directory. They usually are in .zip files and must be "installed" after download. You might want to read THIS THREAD to familiarize yourself with some of the procedures.

I just bought my game. I know, I'm a little late, lol... Anyway, i am having the EXACT same issue as OP. I am also running windows 7.My plugins aren't anywhere to be found. I downloaded them via the lot exchange and when they werent in the game, I went looking for them. Anyway, the location of the file is automatically set to go to the documents/simcity 4/plugins folder. ... We need somehelp here!!

If you are downloading for the simcity.ea.com site, the automatically go to the C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4\Plugins folder.

tungston, i know they do, but when i go to the folder, they arent there, atleast i cant see them. I manually dl them onto another pc, put them on a flashdrive, then copied them to the plugins folder on the laptop i am trying to play the game on. They stayed int he folder, but when i ran the game, they were not in the game... So something is off. Do we have to have the deluxe version in order to use content dl from there?

Most custom content requires Rush Hour/Deluxe versions of the game.

Most of the plugins appear in the game as 'Big carton boxes'. Why is that (no rushhour expansion?)

Most of the custom content on the STEX require the Rush Hour/Deluxe version of the game.

Everytime I download a plugin it doesnt show up anywhere in my computer or SMC4 Deluxe game.

My computer has alot of space and it has Windows Vista. Please send some help.

Just wondering....is anyone unzipping these downloads???? Maybe that's the problem.
