Weolcome to Marinora City!

A fast growing city whit about 450 000 inhabitants. I'm playing Solo Mode with Moaku's Solo Sandbox mode.

Marinora started as a little village but soon grew into a big neighbourhood with all the services needed, an d a couple if years ago the city saw its first skyscrapers. Here's an owerview of the city at the moment:

 A new park is being bulit in Downtown. It's planned to be a large wooded park with plenty of leisure activities like a museum, tenniscourt and a public pool. Here is the plan:

Other things going on in the city is that they have just finished the first part of the High Tech-district.

And the restoration of the Dumple Church in the southern part of the city is finished

The big park is done and the mayor has announced a naming competition.

Any ideas?

The MBC (Marinora Broadcasting Company) has grown massevly the latest years and reasently the company bulit a funny looking HQ in Downtown Marinora.

Right next to the new big park, a panoramic restaurant has been bulit. It's now the tallest building in Marinora.

Love the park plus that old church located on the edge of it as well! I see you have quite a bit congestion on your roads -- that's typically a good sign in my view as it suggests there is a lot activity going on in your city... No expressways in your city ?--- I'm not a big fan of them either, unless they just form bypasses around the cities or are buried underground (such as the Big Dig I-95 in CBD in Boston).... What many interstates have done to many U.S. downtown areas is a total disgrace/nightmare... Cut off neighborhoods from each other.

The current city!!

OK I'm sorry for my terrible updating. My computer crashed a few weeks ago and I had to fix it. Sadly the old city was deleted but I have started a new one. It's called New Marinora City and is a modern  and green city.

I have taken some of the nicest things from the old city and some new stuff. I have a big downtownpark just as in the old city and a welltougt roadnetwork. Something I havent's done like in the old city is using the gid al to much. In this city I wanted a green organic look so I have done many curvy roads and a lot of small parks between them.

In the old city I let it grow relativly natural, but in this I started directly with the skyscrapers.

Just like the old city i use the sandbox mod.

 Ok then welcome to New Marinora City,the fsatgrowing city averyone want to live in (at least me).

Let's start with a little map of the city.

It's very realistic.... but i figured out an increased traffic congestion problem... Too many red roads aint that good It's going to become even worse when you'll increase your population... It's a great city though, I really like it

Wow very compact and dense city you have here.... I like this! All of the parks keeps it from looking too overbuilt though. Good job so far!

Marinora Highs is one of the most wanted places to live, so in this short update I'll show you some pictures.

The highrise buildings overlooking the Marinora River, and the big luxury apartment closer to the river.

The area is surrounded big small and big avenues connecting the area with the rest of the city.

The Furni Tunnel connects Marinora Highs with Furni and downtown.

Inside there is many sport leisure avtivities for the resiedents.

And at last I need some help with something. I have this empty area between the expressway and

the downtown highrise. I don't want to build another massice park and not a area with just huses. 

It's the area closest to the road please help me!

I suggest you build a big shopping centre over there, with some plazas to cover the remaining spot.

A large shopping center along with medium offices would be nice + maybe a multiplex leisure building?!
