Okay, first of all, I will say that, so far as I'm concerned, a test that asks about what colors you do or don't like... is a test of what colors you do or don't like. This personality stuff based on that? Utter BS unless you can prove to me otherwise.

That said, here's what it gave me:

You're a CREATOR

Keywords

Nonconforming, Impulsive, Expressive, Romantic, Intuitive, Sensitive, and Emotionalquote>

Romantic? Sensitive? Emotional? Yeah, right. 21.gif

Maybe I just defy classification because I'm weird like that. 31.gif

I think it works like a series of Rorschach tests.  Really out there, though.

I am likewise calling BS on this test. I got labeled a CREATOR also, and the description is horribly wrong.

Nonconforming: Yes, I am that.

Impulsive: Not on your life. I don't do anything by impulse.

Expressive: No, I don't like expressing myself.

Romantic: Hell no.

Intuitive: I'll say yes since this is a potentially gray area.

Sensitive: You have got to be kidding me.

Emotional: In the past 3 years, less than 4 people have ever witnessed an emotional response from me.

I tend to think this test might be a bit dodgy, especially considering much of the time, I didn't really have a preference for one of the colours...

Nevertheless, it gave me first Creator, second Organiser. Kind of right, but I tend to think a less Creator and a bit more Doer. Perhaps it should have given me fence sitter...

I agree that any analysis by colour preference would be rather non-sensical, however I wonder if it was not actually using that in the formulation of the results, but other metrics like speed of choice, patterning in the order (eg grouping or classification). If for example you zip through the test you get one thing, if you take a longer time to decide on the lower preferences you get a different answer, if you put all the colours into their colour wheel order you get something else again.

Not every test is necessarily looking at the answer to the question its asking. Having said all that, yeah it's a bit of fun but I'll be taking it with a grain of salt.

The whole thing puts me in mind of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind".  Colors instead of sounds.

Yeah, I agree with Sam, the test probably has very little to do with the actual colors, and more to do with HOW you picked the colors, how your different sortings compared to each other, how much time you took, etc.

For example, red and red-orange are very similar to each other, but what does it mean if someone doesn't rank them next to each other?  Perhaps if you rank them similarly it means that you're rational and organized, and if you rank them far apart, it means you're emotional and impulsive.

So I think that while we all have our favorite and least favorite colors, the most insightful thing is what we do with the colors in between.

ORGANIZER WORKPLACES

Your very careful, conscientious, conservative nature gives others the confidence to trust you with handling money and material possessions. Structured organizations that have well-ordered chains of command work best for you.

Suggested Organizer workplaces are large corporations, business offices, financial lending institutions, banks, insurance companies, accounting firms, and quality control and inspection departments.

Maybe some combination of the two would describe me, but neither alone.  In RL I'm architecture which would make me a creator in this.  But I think their description is stereotypical and doesn't neccessarily reflect reality.
