Bat Nightlighting won't work ?

I checked the steps to solve this problem that was posted and It didnt help any .
After I did all those steps twice , They're still not lighting .
I uninstalled sim city which had I installed the Bat too so I could install deluxe which had rush hour which I didnt have with the original . So I did everything over again , reinstalled the b.a.t and gmax and what not , and waited a few game months for the lights to show and they didn't .
Whats the problem ?

You don't need to install BAT and GMax to get the nighlights to work. What you do need are the current EP1 Update and the SC4Update4BAT patches. You can check this post for information and links (scroll down to the Nightlights and Updates section).

If you have done all that and they still don't work, check the properties of the game's exe file in the C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4\Apps (or wherever it is on your computer) to see if you have the correct version - should be 1.1.640.0 if all the patches were installed correctly. If it is something else, then the patches didn't "take."
