I rushed through the single player in a couple of hours. maybe I need a 2nd or 3rd run to really appreciate the story. didn't catch me as much as mw2 did, imho the best of the mw series.

and I gave multiplayer a shot. just played 2 maps so far, looks like I can spend some more time here. I am amazed how there's people that where at "level" 70+ 2 days after release (that's when I played it first).

there's really folks with no life...

Nonetheless, level 70 is a little ridiculous that early on... :P

But I do agree with GMT that the plot was kinda lacking what MW2 had. I do like however that there was a wide variety in the setting, as well as your tasks, though. For example, you flew a lot more aircraft, dressed as a juggernaut, etc.... which is something we didn't really see in MW2.

I wont get MW3 unless it goes down in price, looks far too similar to MW2, and is buggy as hell still.

BF3 showed me the light :\

I've played through MW3 a couple times now, and it isn't buggy.? I've had no problems with it and it's a greatly satisfying game. (although I would have liked to play as Ramirez again and go to Moscow.) Did anyone notice in the first mission it shows that the 75th Rangers are in New York city? Not too far away, the good Sgt. Foley was barking orders at Ramirez. :D

I felt the campaign was nicely thought out. It was a decent length considering the other games, but of course there's things here and there that are questioned. Like how in the world did the Russian's get heavy armored units SO DEEP into Europe so quickly? Not that I'm complaining about it, made for good combat levels. I even think there we're T-72s in the Paris level! Or we're those T-80s, cause I know they weren't T-90's. Not to mention the famous AC-130 gameplay made a return. :D

I was also a bit worried about the shock value level in London. (my girlfriend was in the room and she can't handle war games very well) But I think it was over exaggerated. MW2's shock level was an entire mission, while MW3s was just a cutscene. I think they didn't want to step on anyone's heels after the whole, banned in Russia incident with the last game.

But overall, great game, awesome story, I don't give a flying rats behind if it's a MW2.5, it's still a great game, and I enjoyed ending the series very much, and I'll be replaying it over and over again.

Great work Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer.

I have to agree that MW3 was not very buggy at all. I liked the campain, but I thought it really wasn't that special. It was good, and I had a lot of fun with all the non-stop movie action. The only complaint that I would have over all, would be that in some places I felt that there were just to many cliches. There were the "leap of faiths", "the helicopters raining from the sky", and even a famous "grab the gun to shoot the antagonist while you are half dead" at the end.

I mainly bought the game for the multiplayer, and I felt that the multiplayer was good. They deffinitly fixed some much needed issues and provided a fun game.

bottom line is, MW series was one of the best shooter experiences i had thus far... no probably the best actually.

story was great, of course splattered with cliches but thats normal, and the graphics... well... good looking, not state of the art but - what I really liked about it - the same throughout the series. Really gives you a feeling of playing a subsequent plot. I mean, of course I'd welcomed better graphics but all to easily this very soon lets you forget that its part of a storyline when graphics within it change imho.

Multiplayer is too repetitive imho. if they'd swap the ratio maps:modes it would be perfect; I'd rather seen the same 5 6 modes on 20+ maps than the other way around.

In terms of bugs and glitches I must say I'm really glad to say that I haven't come across something bad. of course minor flaws here and there (now and that a shame that we're at a point that we grant games to have them??) but throughout the series a rather unspectacular thing to mention, unlike it's "big" opponent BF which seems to be earning the bugger award this year.

speaking of awards, I was really glad that I read the other day that MW3 had the most successful entertainment start, outranking the movie Avatar by one day to reach the one billion dollar mark (16 days MW3, 17 Avatar)
