I know how to open a grayscale map in SC4, the problem is another.

After some 10-20 minutes of waiting, finally i see my region, the configuration is allright, but the cities are not. Their terrain is a plain or just water, for some stupid reason. So it doesn't work properly to me.

    Any help?

Which region are you attempting? Perhaps you need or have (that you don't need) a terrain height mod in your plugins. "import.dat" is a common one. Also, you could try rendering with nothing in the Plugins folder.

I am trying to render some map of Taipei, Taiwan: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?p=results

I have no "import.dat" file but i am not sure about having an height mod. If you mean that for bridges, well it is included in the NAM, that i have. Anyway when i'll have time i'll try rendering without plugins thanks.

while you render the region, you cant do anything else, you cant get out of the render screen.
