No sidewalks when no zone near road

When I have two separate roads next to each other for whatever reason and one piece of them is not near a zone, the piece not near a zone and only that piece will have no sidewalk on it, regardless of whether the areas next to it have sidewalks.  The screenshot pretty much says it all:  I'm wondering if there is a mod somewhere out there that will allow me to have a sidewalk on that one tile of road where there's a gap in the sidewalk currently, such as a puzzle piece mod that always has sidewalks on the road puzzle pieces.  Is there such a mod in existence that will let me have a sidewalk there?

I don't think so, as making such a mod would let a side walk show up on all road tiles, which isn't really what a lot of people want. It can be done however, by having the side walk texture used on undeveloped tiles refer to the one used on develop tiles. I do however not have the time to make such a mod.

Regards,

Korot

hold CTRL and drag any zone the size of your roadway.  Then you can drag the zone over your road, this gives you the desired look on your roadways without any zones beside the roads.

Thanks for the replies, but still I've had no luck filling in that tile with sidewalk. Tkuelker, I'm not sure I understand your instructions...I already have a commercial zone along the whole of the outer one-way road, so I tried dragging a zone over that tile like you said, but nothing happened. I tried this with Residential, Commercial, and Industrial zones. Am I getting this right?

I don't think the CTRL-Zone trick will work because the 'invisible' zone will still need to touch the road, and in Moonraker0's setup it can't.

Moonraker0, you did get me a little curious with this, and the only way I've been able to put a sidewalk (other than a mod as Kotor mentioned) is to create a transit-enabled lot with the sidewalk as the texture. Of course this means making one for each of the different sidewalks and changing it as they change.

Perhaps someone else will have another idea.
