Need Help

I been away from playing Sim City 4 DeluxeFor along time, and when I tried to reinstalled it it wouldn't read disc 2. Is there any way that I can get around this or do I have to buy a new one.

I have the reg Sim City 4 but when I tried to put some new buildings from this site I kept on getting brown boxes.

Brown boxes usually indicate missing 'Dependencies' - additional items needed that are usually listed with the download item. However, most content on the STEX requires Rush Hour or Deluxe, so that could be an issue for you also.

You can try to clean up the disc.. it sounds like it has become scratched or scraped. If you look on the internet you will find methods for doing this and even kits tthat let you do it... this can work if the damage is mild.. if it doesn't work, I know of no way other than buying a new version.. the "box set" is now under $20 from amazon and free shipping if you or someone in your family need something else.. I think $25 qualifies for free shipping (this is if you live in the contigous USA I think)... I buy things from them all the time and they have always given me top service and problem resolution.

Doesn't Disc 2 play the game and Disc 1 installs it?

That's why I'm Simcity disabled right now!

Grr...

If you (or we) can't find our discs, at least it's really cheap on the internet.
