Low mayor rating?

Abut a month ago the mayor rating in my biggest city started dropping. At the time, i didn't pay much attention to it. But now it has dropped to a level when its getting kind of bad. Before the drop i remember lowering most of my highways, and putting most of it underground. I have good health, school, fire and police coverage. I have lowered my air and water pollution alot, i have put in bus and subway transport all over the city. I dont have any buildings to lower the rating, like the prison, casino etc. Anyone know how i can get the rating back to normal?

it could be Land Value? Try tons of parks?

Thanks for replying. The land value is green everywhere except along some avenues and in the middle of downtown, where the traffic and air pollution is worst. I have some "GooberGen Air Purification" plants placed in the most polluted places. As for parks, i don't really have alot. Im sure there are a few somewhere in the city Do they help alot to the rating?

Here is a picture of the city. The worst rating is pretty much everywhere i the left, middle and bottom of the image. The top right has the best rating.

It seems to have gotten better now. I removed some water deals with neighboring areas, removed all the ordinances including gambling, build some parks. It raised about 3 points in a short while. Thanks for your help anyway Retep Molinari.

Can anyone recomend som costom parks? Im going to place alot of parks in the city, but the maxis parks are kind of boring.

BSC make a wide array of custom parks. They include things like selectable texture bases and many lots that can be put together in various combinations and with path systems to link between parks and provide walkways. There are others as well. I suggest start with those and then just search on "parks". I tend to stay away from the "little guy" lots as they are occasionally poorly modded and may have issues that interferer with the game. There are probably 5 or 10 major sets of various types. BSC lots will be found in general on SC4devotion.com' CSXLEX exchange. You have to register at both.

Hmm, I didn't know that having neighbor deals had an affect on mayoral rating. I found some great parks over on the LEX, like SC4BOY suggested. Also on the STEX here. You're right, Maxis-made parks are boring.
