i need to know how to get a tram network going so i need to ask these questions:

1. what is the best mod to achive my goal?

2. what tram stops and depos are there in the mods?

3. how do i build tracks and stations?

4. how to buid terminals for the trams and what are the line configurations for the trams

to go back ion the route after terminating the first run of the route?

5 are there any downloadable city maps with complete tram networks?

any ideas?

Welcome to Simtropolis! You'll have fun here!

1. GLR (Ground Light Rail)/tram network comes with the NAM, which is the most important transit mod in SC4.

2. There are no stations or depots coming with the NAM, you have to download them separately. You will find two kinds of them, for GLR or for tram-in-road/tram-on-road. There are plenty of them in the STEX.

3. Simply plop carefully the tram puzzle pieces over the existing roads. You will have to bulldoze the road first before plopping the station though and then you should drag a one-way road over it to make it work. It's all explained in read-me files.

4. There aren't line configurations, they work exactly as subways. In fact, GLR/tram is an elevated rail mod.

5. You won't find any downloadable cities in the STEX, uploading cities is forbidden because they take a lot of space and bandwith.

next questions are:

what should i download to have a complete tram system where can i find the files?

how do the trams turn around to the oposite direction?

ex ----------> terminal

<---------- next stop

does any one know whre i can get cities with trams anywhere on the net? ex. torrents, sim city 4 related sites, P2P etc...

As TekindusT, you will need the NAM. That provides the tracks for various styles (ground, in-road, in-street, etc.). You will need to get the stations separatley. You can seach the STEX for these. There are seveal sets available (Cogeo, SFBT, Gshmails to name a few). You should probably stick to the newer ones (the last couple of years) so they will be compatable with the draggable GLR tracks. You might also check out RTMT (on the STEX) as it provides stops that are placed on top of the various network styles.

As for turning trams around, you don'r really need to. The traffic simply goes back and forth between stops. You can use loop pieces to make the routes appear to loop back.

For downloadable cities, they just aren't that common due to file size. You might check out the City Journal section or the "Show us your..." threads to get ideas on how to use trams.
