 Just spent  a couple of hours downloading and installing the game without any apparent problems only to be kicked in the head at the validation stage.  Having read through other posts I know this has been a problem from the the very start for other people which says something about MC's attitude toward their customers.  The fact that they have not resolved this issue seems to suggest that they are quite happy to take your money without giving you the goods.  Imagine buying a TV then having to wait around for some guy to activate it before you can use it, then he doesn't turn up.  You would quite rightly be pissed off.  It's about time MC got their act together and started to show some respect for their customers.

I don't think this has anything to do with not respecting customers, nor "kicking them in the head", nor do I have any idea what "give us your money" has to do with your post .... but the need to be activated and any delays tied to it would strike me more as a poor planning / disorganization related issue.

Just wait until you get it working and then see nag-screens asking you for more money.

Whoops, allow me to correct my statement...

Wow, you should give them time to fix it. This game is going to be awesome despite the lack of its advertised features and gimped single player. Does anyone remember Monte Cristo's PayPal address? Donating money via "Fix the Game Offer" isn't enough.

they did it to me too only now they took my money and then banned me for fraud... even though I buy stuff from other people with the same account with no problems. Now i can't even register a new copy i bought from another source because Metaboli's ban stick swings so far out you may as well forget ever playing the game no matter how many times you pay for it. Every response I've gotten from MC is "It's the other guy's fault, bug them." Yeah... AWESOME service there.

Rockalien, have you tried contacting our Support team on www.citiesxl.com/feedback? Could you please be more specific on what exactly went wrong and "kicked you in the head" with the validation process? Any detail, error message, etc. would help

Kittani, I know you have been in contact with our Support already. We will need to clear things up on both your orders and I am sorry you have to wait if your order was legit, but please understand it might take some time to get a clear picture of the situation and sort it out when it involves other partners.
