Frist of all dont use all Caps in your title, it is considerd spamming here.

You need to add a Water Treatment plant to your city and connect it to your water sysyem via pipes. There is one that comes with the game in the water menu, but if you think that is ineffetive, then there are other soultions on the STEX here

Water treatment does not help at all and it takes up alot of space. Thanks for the reminder about Caps in the title. Any specific bat i can use to reduce water pollution. I currently 3 of those water treatment plants on my city.

I use the Mr. Garbage bat.  It crease a nice chunk of power by burning garbage as well as toxic chemicals from bothe the air and water.  A few of them absolutely CLEAR your city of water polution and darn near all air polution.  Some still seems to linger over the busiest of avenue sections.

I warn you to be EXTREMEMLY careful with this bat however.  If you remove one or two of them, poth polution types and garbage will skyrocket.  As in, the whole map will turn red if you're in pollution view mode.  Obviously this will kill your city until you can clean it all up. So, be sure to pause the game when you replace old warn down Mr. Garbages and be absolutely sure you want to use this guy.  I'm not trying to deterr you from using it, it just seems to be a path that once you start down, there's no easy return from.  44.gif

Thanks for this Mr. Garbage bat. I'll definitely try it out but I will have to be very careful with it. Thanks for pointing out the risks.

simgoober also has a water treatment plant which is smaller and much more powerful (and more expensive) over on SC4Devotion on the LEX site

thanks SC4BOY. I did just downloaded Pegasus' RTK water treatment plant but I would like to check out simgoober's plant as well. Pegasus's plant does not seem to appear right on my city. I'm pretty sure have installed all the dependencies for it.

What I do is just use the "howdryiam" cheat - then you don't have to deal with water at all.

Well, the main cause is from dirty industry. A long run solution would be to build an amazing education system. Do nothing for a few years, let the education go green in all areas. Then put the tax for dirty industry up to 20% and bring the high-tech and manufacturing down to around 3%. Educated sims create clean industry and clean industry does not pollute. This will also reduce air pollution. Build a water treatment facility and then demolish it when you have clean industry.

Exactly correct.. the game is designed to force you to improve the city and the issues go away without cheats. The "extras" are helpful if you are trying to achieve a specific objective wihout further development.. And of course there are outright cheats to accomplish most thiings you want "poof" waved away without playing the game

People have said the treatment plants take up too much space, and I have a problem with that. I mean, you're talking about a major facility that's doing a lot of work!

Here is a picture of Oakland's plant, while here is one of San Francisco's. As you can see, they tak up tons of room (and plus they stink!)
