It's time again for CURRY SUNDAY!  We went for a 10K hike which turned into a run on the way back to the car so I'm pooped.  Thus, tonight's featured curry is instant curry from your local 7-11 or Sunkus or Family Mart or wherever.  Chances are good that your curry is going to be brown with chicken, onions, potatoes, and carrots alongside Japanese sticky rice in a styrofoam container.  The nice people behind the counter will be happy to heat it up for you.

My local 7/11 counter guy is not very friendly, I might have to heat it up myself.  LOL*:D

Went sailing last weekend - https://screwpiledevelopments.com/2019/09/01/motuihe-there-and-back-again/

Dinner was BBQ chicken wraps - pre BBQ grilled the chicken before I left home and just quickly tossed it in a pan on the boat.

nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnNACHOS!   Nacho Monday should be a thing.  Nacho every day, really.

Well what I didn't mention was the nachos, and chilli beans on the boat for lunch.

But...  Nacho Monday?   Yup I could live with that.

Welcome to our inaugural NACHO MONDAY!  We'll do up some simple nachos, tortilla chips covered in cheddar jack cheese.  I'm going to eat about 50, and wash them down with a Corona.  Feel free to help yourselves!

Such a strange week.  Monday was Labor Day, so I didn't work, then I was on the road for 12 hours yesterday, so being in the office today felt like Monday.  Luckily it's Wednesday and I only have to wake up twice more before the weekend is here.

Tonight we're grilling up some okonomiyaki!  Batter made of egg and some kind of flour (I'm not really sure, my wife does the shopping!), cabbage, bacon, and literally anything else you want to put in it cooked on a griddle, some call it the Japanese pancake, other the Japanese pizza, but put some Otafuku sauce on it and everyone calls it delicious.

Yep, Thursday here, too.   The okonomiyaki sounds ok, and otafuku you too! :P

Now it's Friday where I'm at.  Though it could be my Saturday since I didn't have to work today.

We've made it to the end of the week!  How about grilling up some delicious smoked, peppered sausages and putting them on buns and topping them with chopped onions and a little mustard?  I'll make some potato wedges to go with it, because french fries seem too insignificant next to a big, burly sausage.

Friday here, too.  Had to work, but at least I"m off tomorrow.   Toss me a couple of those sausages, and how about a nice stout to wash it down.

Ooo, a pasta bake.  That sounds good enough to copy and serve up here, too.

We always end up on hikes through the woods that are far longer than they look on the map.  Today was a 5.5 mile jaunt around Craig Lake with the kids in tow, and occasionally far ahead of us.  I always enjoy our time outside.

Sounds like you worked up an appetite.  I'm not on Atkins, so pass the pasta!

Unfortunately we did not have the foresight to charge our phones before we left, so of course our phones died while we were eating lunch and we got no pictures.  It was a pretty place, and if we're lucky we'll be able to head out that way again once the leaves change color.

Speaking of changing color, let's do just that for CURRY SUNDAY!  Yellow will be our color today, as we'll go with Thai yellow curry with fresh sliced bell peppers and mushrooms and bamboo shoots (chutes?  shutes?  schutes?) over rice.  It's a lot looser than Indian or Japanese brown curry, and it is delicious.  We'll prepare spiciness to taste.

Wow, it's been almost a whole week already?  Seems like we just had Curry Sunday.  And then, foolishly, we skipped over Nacho Monday.  So, to make up for it, let's have Nacho Monday, except on a Thursday!  We'll jazz our nachos up a bit today with some ground beef with taco seasonings, green onions, black olives, and sour cream, over, of course, a liberal sprinkling of cheddar cheese.  Bon appetite!

Did someone mention cheese?

Cheese is like bacon you can never have too much.

That gives me an Idea, I wonder if you could put bacon in nachos.  If it works, that would be awesome!

Oh that totally works.   Ground beef and bacon bits, with the chilli bean sauce on top of a bed of nacho chips, with lashings of grilled melted cheese and topped off with sour cream.
