Ah, the snows have begun to melt.  That makes everything up here very... swampy.  If you're going to be doing some traveling through Upper Michigan (heck, anywhere in the Midwest), bring your muck boots.

I have a taste for seafood.  Spicy seafood.  Cajun spicy seafood.  Let's cook up some shrimp, crawfish, and chicken in a creole sauce.  We'll serve it on rice and add some garlic bread on the side.  Sound good everyone?  Almost.  First we should have an appetizer, I'm thinking some stuffed mushrooms, Red Lobster-style.  Yummy, good stuff.

I had a shortened week from work to take care of Mrs NMUSpidey after she got her 3 remaining wisdom teeth removed.  The swelling seems like it's started to go down, and the worst of the pain seems to be behind her so that's going well.  Since we're busy with that, let's do something simple tonight.  Sandwiches, chips and dip, some snack mixes (Gardetto's is my favorite), and a tray of vegetables.  Help yourselves!

Checking in again. I'm gonna need a taste of home - preferably 24 potstickers from the place across my mother's apartment back in Taiwan and some beef noodle soup from when she owned a cafe. Stinky tofu, too, coated in crushed peanuts. Let us feast! I'll help out with this one. Place beer choices please.

Taiwanese food sounds most excellent.  I think we'll set out a whole table of it, although I'll leave you all the stinky tofu!

As for beer, I'll go with my personal favorite, Sapporo Black Label, although Bell's has just released its Oberon summer brew here in Michigan and it's hard to resist it.  Why don't I put out some Taiwan Beer as well?

Taiwan Beer is a no-go for me. Too used to American craft beers... *:D

It's national burrito day!  Or something.  So why don't we wrap up a series of vaguely Mexican ingredients in a soft tortilla or either corn or wheat and eat them with cheese and sour cream on top?  Sound good?  It definitely does to me.  Dig in!

We have developed a tradition of eating curry on Sunday, so let's extend the tradition to include The Moose Factory as well.

For tonight's curry, we'll serve up my favorite pork curry, using S&B's Golden Curry roux.  It's savory.  It's spicy.  It's delicious.  It's my favorite.  We serve it with rice (I mix it together, they serve it side-by-side in the same bowl in Japan), but we'll prepare some naan to eat it with, too.

I don't usually drink anything with caffeine in it.  When I do (like today) I shake the rest of the day and have trouble falling asleep.  Why don't they offer the caffeine free version of diet cola at the gas station?  Since my job expanded to include visits to customers' houses for measurements I spend lengthy time on the road.  I guess I should do what I do when I'm at the office all day and just bring my water bottle with me.  Lesson learned.

For tonight, why don't we serve up some breakfast casserole?  Bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs, a variety of vegetables, served with a side of hot sauce if you need to jazz it up a bit.

It's Curry Sunday!  I think tonight we'll prepare a Thai red curry, and we'll jazz it up with some shrimp, red and green peppers, and mushrooms.  Served over rice, it's pretty spicy, so be prepared for that when you take your first bite!

Ugh.  I've got to figure out how to eat better when I spend the day on the road.  Just thinking about the two fast food burgers I ate over the last 7 days is making me slightly squeamish.  Maybe I should try tacos instead.

Tonight, we're setting out the salad bar.  Any vegetable you can imagine, shredded cheeses, hard boiled eggs, and a nice variety of dressings if you so desire.  I think I'll go with some romaine lettuce, shredded Parmesan cheese, croutons, diced red onions, pitted black olives, and some HAIL CAESAR dressing.  A nice, light dinner to cleanse me of those greasy, unsatisfying burgers.  Oh, let's throws a couple of piece of garlic bread on the side, too.  Mmm.  Garlic bread.

The salad sounds delish!  I remember how my diet was when I drove over the road (OTR) for a living, it's no wonder I had a heart attack at 39.

Char-broiled skinless chicken breast, baked beans, grilled corn on the cob (not fresh), deviled eggs and cold iced tea - That's what's for dinner, pull up a chair and dig in.

That sounds tasty.  I'll have the kitchen staff whip that up for you.

It's Curry Sunday!  Except on a Monday!  I was on the road all day yesterday after the kids' Easter egg hunt at my parents' place so we didn't have curry until tonight.  I think tonight we're going to cook up some keema curry for you, served over rice or in a bowl with buttery naan.

I put in a surprise 16 hour day yesterday as my boss was too ill to go downstate for templates.  I covered 700 miles today, and if I went and picked up that sink I'd have hit 1000, which I kind of regret but not really since I am totally exhausted.

Anyway, my wife made mabodofu and gyoza for dinner.  I'm not actually sure what to call those in English since I've never used the English names for them, but they are delicious, so help yourselves!  Oh, gyoza might be potstickers or whatever.

700 miles is a good pull.  Had a lot of those days when I drove over the road.  It'll make an old man out of ya.

Our hike to the waterfall this afternoon was quite nice.  The trail was still probably 30% snow covered, but only the trail, and then some north-facing slopes and spots under trees.  It will be some time before it's finally all gone.  Overall, a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon.  Speaking of Sunday...

It's CURRY SUNDAY!  Today, we'll prepare Thai green curry!  Careful, it's spicy (and tastes vaguely of soap) and (as always) is served over rice.  We'll have fish as our protein, and add some eggplant, green pepper, and shallots.

Rough weekend this week.  My mother, who lives in a nursing facility, had a fall.  Basically, she just passed out and fell hitting her head on the floor. Of course they sent her to the hospital where she has been since Friday evening.  They are still unsure why she passed out.  Fortunately, she did not get injured in the fall.  She has a nice bump on her head but nothing serious.

@NMUSpidey the food sounds Delicious but I don't think my stomach can handle the spices.  *:thumb:

I am going to cook up some chili and we'll put it over macaroni noodles.  CHILIMAC tonight.  Warm French bread.  Shredded cheddar cheese on the side.  A garden salad served ahead of the main dish.  Mm.  I already had dinner but now I'm hungry again!

HELL- OOOO!!

*Crashes in and ruins the party*...

 (font let go!!)

Now, now i can continue my JOKE!

Awww Scooby Toby, you're so, not funny. Sorry.

Read about this Moose, his legacy speaks for himself and this introduction is better than my complete barging in approach recently.

I think i will change a bit.

Papa-J, i hope your mother is OK now. No fun times when loved one's are hurting.

AND Spidey's aunt of course. Well, what can i say. What  do a strangers words mean when it comes to peoples real relations and here i am like a fresh practical joke trying to...not fit in?

No, i just think i'm quite stupid really.
