CTD during intro and region

Had a few CTD recently. SC4 logs an exception report in my documents. All the exception report state

As I see the D3DIM700.DLL looks to the problem.

Any ideas or solutions?

maybe run a virus scan... i was crashing and it turns out it was a virus...

after running the scan... sim city never crashes for me

What are you dong now that its crashing that wasn't true before? added lots? significantly larger cities? (higher populations) using GLR? etc..

I think I found out what the problem was. First I installed a different version of the dll. But I think my XFire was conflicting some how. Disabled that and no CTD so far.
