Game Pause

I would love to see a way to turn the pause feature off.  I realize it is probably there to prevent people going into deep debt when they walk away from their PC, but I would prefer if you could toggle it on and off.

I often have cities running while I work, and sometimes I like to build up my cash reserves a bit before building up more portions of my cities.  Would like to be able to monitor the game on one of my machines while I work on the other without having to jiggle the mouse so frequently.

Is there a way to toggle it off, or adjust the timing?

Actually, it's for the other way around, the second reason you mentioned. So that people on planet offer don't leave their games running all night building insane amounts of wealth.

It's quite common for mmos to have such an afk feature. Here it just pauses you, while generally being afk ends up with you being booted from the server in other mmos.

Agreed on Rakeesh. MC probably implanted this so people wont leave the game on whole night for creating funds. That would make it much heavier for their servers and would destroy part of the gameplay due to unlimited funds.

Or you could buy one of these to press your keyboard once your afk, use one with batteries though.

There are programs out there which can make keyboard key pressing aswell.

It's funny, I was actually hoping this was a thread about how to make the game pause.  Last night I was having a hard yime with planning and wished I could stop (pause) the simulation.

When planning just don't connect anything you build to the city hall( no road connections.) that way lots don't develop. Use residential lots they are free or minimal cost.  Use rural roads and you can play with layouts with minimum cost, and if you have positive cash flow you will build reserves.

maybe if you place your mouse on something that will vibrate it then it will keep your game from pausing. I actually had an isolated experience where I assumed it would pause and I walked away and it didn't. I came back a couple of hours later to a real mess.
