Rail segments have SimCity.com boxes on them?

Everytime I lay a rail segment, it shows the boxes for simcity.com. I deleted any plugin that may have altered it, but it still remains. Anyway of correcting this? I believe its the original maxis file.

Try the rails in a new city, in a new region.  Sometimes mods are saved in the city file and removing them from the plugins folder doesn't remove them from the saved files.

It sounds like you added a mod for the rails, but didn't add the required dependencies.  If that isn't the case, you may have corrupted files, and need to reinstall the game with the update patch.

If there are brown boxes on the rail segments, then you most likely have the Rail_Catenary_Mod_V3 HD version mod installed. It has a depndency, which can be downloaded here

Do you remember downloading anything at all that is related to rail? As pointed out by both tungston and Xyloxadoria, it sounds like you have (had) a mod installed that calls for a plugin that is no longer present.

Do the boxes appear on each and every tile of rail segment laid, or just every second or third tile? Or is it infrequent?
