I thought they were in the game bu no-one has mentioned them and nor have I seen recent screenshots of them? Is it a PO offer only?

airports and harbours are already in game under transportation intercity links. Harbours produce extra freight slots and boost the freight available close by (good for most industries), while airports boost passenger avaialbility for trading offices, worker types with other cities. The latter are also good at boosting buildings which benefit from passenger services like offices.

Not sure if its PO only or also in solo though as I only play online.

I thought Airports and stuff was in SP as well. :/ Airports are by far the neatest looking thing in the game, And the large airport is massive!

Please, I need you to investigate further on this issue, as I might update this table on the Planet Offer thread. The Beta was only about the PO (of course lol), so I'm not sure if you get harbors and airports in SP as well. But I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be true.

I can't remember because I uninstalled and kicked the... 'thingamajig' out of my computer two months ago, so I'm just guessing here, but you should unlock your first harbor as you reach pop. 75,000.

you really only need them if your city is heavily specializing.  The industries get special buildings that increase your production by 35% and then another that does it by 45%.  In my office high tech city I have 190 excess office tokens that I built a small airport, 4 ground road connections, and 1 freeway connection to have the capacity to trade.  I also import heavy industry and tourism.  IIRC the following are the trade values you get from the connection

Road 20F 20P for each map side up to 4

Airport 40P

Harbor 40F

Freeway 100F 100P for each map side up to 4

Large harbor 200F

large airport 200P

Keep in mind that each has a maintenance cost,  I almost sank my treasury building a large airport.

Ya that large airport is really massive. Takes up a big part of the map.
