You should start by searching the STEX for what you like, it's just a matter of looking most of the time.

first really look into what you would define as British looking and then look for those qualities in buildings throughout the exchanges

You should just try searching "British" on the STEX. Ill Tonkso makes some great UK commercial buildings, as for older buildings... Gascooker made some great terraced housing and other buildings.
