SC4 Patch Question

 I have the ENGLISH version of the game. I would guess that there is a different patch for different versions?

Anyhoodle,

I cannot sign up to the official site because i purchased my game of eBay and it had already been registered.

Can someone direct me where to get it.

I ask because i really want night lights on my buildings but you need the patch. Do you need anything else?

The patch is avavilble on SC4D and does not require resgistration.

There are two updates you will need to the file called

1. " SC4 Update( Rush Hour / Deluxe Version)" Here (get the normal version if you dont have rush hour, the file is on the same page, above the one i mentioned)

then after you install that  get the file called:

2. "Sim City 4 Buildings Update" Here

Before i install, i got the Europe one (because im in the UK). Does it matter that my game is LHD because the rest of Europe is RHD (im probably wrong but better safe than sorry)

If you're using a crack or have modified the exe's or .dats, they will not patch successfully... If you have a legit copy, save your program files/maxis files somewhree and copy the original ones from your CD's.. Then they will successfully patch.

The CD was scratched to hell so we had to "trick" the computer into thinking that there was a file there but in fact it isn't. This is the Sound.dat file.

All we did was create a file of the same name. So the game thinks its there and will allow itself to run. In the future i will have to get a new game wont i?
