    thanks for all the great replies lots of new names i've never had comment
    before in my journals so must have done something right 1.gif

    This map will most likely not be uploaded because it is all hand terraformed

    Update 2

    -Beginings of the forest
        i tried to have the forests quite realistic and am not yet done along the coasts
        but i like the way the mountains and valleys turned out, After looking around on google
        earth i got the idea for snowcapped mountains, dry and barren tundra and rocky slopes
        and lush valleys below.

        I also tried to taped the forest of in the planes and lowlands, as well as changing tree types
        near the coast to reflect the elevation change.

        So in the near future plans include, finishing the coast lines and blending forest
        patched to get rid of the tree lines between cities ( the middle is fine but look at the lower maps)

    thanks PG

    Anyways i have pretty much finished terraforming and and gonna show
    you around the Brastoval Region and some of its natural wonders.

    I modled the entire Region's geography around California
    not any specific area just the mountain style and coatline
    features, also the way that the greenest parts of the state
    are at the foothills of the Sierra.

    So here is the more or less completed region.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Completed.jpg align=baseline>

    this first pic shows the high alpine lake, in the far upper corner of the map
    its crystal clear glacial waters are world renowned

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//highalpine%20lake.JPG align=baseline>

    Now i'm gonna show a few pics of the middle and largest mountain range and glacier.
    The Trepov Range recieve more snow than both the far northern and southern ranges
    and contains the regions only true glacier.  As a result lush forests line the valleys.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//mt1.JPG align=baseline>

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//mt2.JPG align=baseline>

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//mt3.JPG align=baseline>

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//mt4.JPG align=baseline>

    The southern Mountain range also sees heavy snow in the winter but
    gets too warm to sustain any glaciers and all but loses its snow during
    the summer excet for hidden patches a top the peaks.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//m1.JPG align=baseline>

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//m2.JPG align=baseline>

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//m3.JPG align=baseline>

    The areas coastlines were also moddled after the geography found around
    California, the cliffs, hidden beaches and forests have all been made
    to look like the California coast.

    a few more

     oh yeah Tonya i am only going to use those palms right on the coast, I am really going for realism here and
    this is the best way i see fit to do so.  If you look at the region view you can see what i mean the palms only
    take up a fraction of the terrain hugging the coast.
