I noticed yesterday that Google Maps has a new (to me at least) feature. The first 2 or 3 zoom levels on satelite mode are at a 45 degree angle, mimicing a view from a plane, sorta. I only noticed it was available for Santa Cruz, CA and Sacramento, CA.

I just went to look at that, it seems like it's only for Santa Cruz (as far as I know). But that view is like the Bird's Eye View on Bing maps, except Bing has it for a lot more places, at least major cities and the areas around them.

On a side note, I like Bing more then google. 3.gif

That is... utterly pointless, but interesting nonetheless.

If I need a good map, and I have a reasonable internet connection, I use Google Earth.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

-Steen Eiler Rasmussen, 1898-1990 (SimCity 2000 User Manual).

7692. I use Google Maps, because I don't have Earth installed on my laptop, or don't want to wait for it to start up.

7693. I really like Bing, too. This morning, with the Oscars approaching, they had the Top 10 Worst movies of the Year. Guess Number 1. It won't surprise many people. Number 2 was SatC2(I think we all know what that stands for, don't we.), Number 3 was The Last Song, 4 was the Last Airbender, and 5 was Grown-Ups.

I am making great progress with Marcopoly City but I discovered that Simtropolis does not have spoiler, hide, or text size tags.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

    Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

7696 - Javascript is what you would need to use for the spoiler..but it isnt very compatible with the forum/CJ software.

    For hide use white text.

Colouring is very easy with the forum software, not sure how to explain it but I use span html tags. 3.gif

So, today I made a three hour drive up to Massachusetts, where I was sent for "training".

Training which consisted of five minutes of someone showing me how to do something on the computer, and then two hours of me practicing doing it.

Why this required going all the way to the outer suburbs of Boston is beyond me, but hey, company's paying.

If it's paid for, the only thing you're losing is your own precious time, right?

Training for what, dare I ask.

How to do QC on a database of information about home appliances.

    It's easy, just tedious.

I have 2 3OH! songs stuck on my mind playing as one mixed up song.

EDIT: I have done most of the work on Marcopoly City. Now, I only need to change the names of the properties from Monopoly London to generic or custom names and multiply the prices by 10,000, and label the blocks. Here is the board so far.

    Marcopoly City Board revision 5

Second Edit: It uses the London properties. I need to change the properties to more generic names. I also need to multiply the prices by 10,000.
