Maybe I'm just overly competitive, but I find lack of success at game to be frustrating. The idea that one could keep losing but still enjoy playing is... strange, to me.

Well... suppose you were playing well, just not winning. You might be encouraged to keep playing. Besides, with some games, the fun is in the act of playing it and not just the end result.

Losing can actually be pretty fun sometimes, actually. Usually its because I'm less serious and I just enjoy playing and don't care where it goes when that happens.

Losing is OK when playing with friends, or if you learn something, or both.

Occasionally the fun is not in whether you win or lose, but just playing. Winning is a bonus, but not really a requirement for fun.

7276. Risk is a lot of fun! I know someone whose game went on for 3 WEEKS! And not, like 30 minutes a day, but many hours a day. They photographed the board after every day. I like being the Soviets by occupying the areas that were under Soviet control and then going off and attacking Europe and NATO. Then you go south with your Communist ideals. I think claiming Australia at the very beginning is a total waste. It eats up your guys, trying to keep Indonesia as it's protection.
