All things considered? About 6-7 hours, yesterday and today. Excel's capacity to autocomplete in columns really speeds up the process. For instance, I could in almost all cases just type L and then hit enter for your name.

Besides the obvious benefit that now this is all-inclusive, there is a benefit to me personally in that it's lower maintenance. The old way, I had to manually enter post numbers, page totals, and keep inserting new lines for new pages (not to mention updating the statistical data).

This way, through the magic of the CountIf function, I can just enter people's names as they post and the totals will automatically update.

Resorting them as people pass each other will still have to be done manually, though.

3907. I'm not sure what is more astounding: that Larks has managed to post more than twice as much as me here, or that I'm just short of half of Lark's number of posts here.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

Interned for the local Engineering Bureau  You know, the guys that manage maintenance and construction of public facilities. Most places would call it a Department of Public Works.

My folder of ST related stuff (which, actually, also includes stuff from Sporeum) at the monent contains 3682 files totalling 187 MB.

If you're doing the math, that's an average filesize of 52 kB. 2.gif

Although, the range is substantial. Smallest file is only 43 bytes. Largest is 4.13 MB.

3925. I second (or third) that. What reason is there for changing the background of the browser. It isn't exactly the area I spend most of my time watching at.

It's decoration. Doesn't appeal to me, really, but then again I'm the sort who prefers simple utilitarian designs over fancy gaudy ones.

That, and I care far more about whether or not something works than whether or not it looks nice. Beauty is only skin-deep, you know. 1.gif
