Kratos won. Duke and Tails both lost handily, even (~36k-20k and ~47k-30k).

Samus has an early lead on Prince of Persia now (okay, predictable).

2620. That and I've heard of Charizard before (from Pokemon, right?), and also of Prince of Persia, but not of anyone of the others.* Which just means that overseas marketing isn't up to spec regarding the characters I've never heard of.

*) The only reason I know of the existence of Duke Nukem, is because of you, Duke87.

The problem is twofold. Firstly, Duke Nukem is largely a thing of yesteryear nowadays. Last new game in the series came out in 2004. People have heard of it, but only the cult follwing (people like Globex and I) really still care about it. To boot, it's my understanding that Duke Nukem never got the popularity overseas that it did here. None of the games were ever released in Japan, and the European and PAL versions were often subject to some considerable censorship.

Secondly, Pokemon was and remains a very popular series... so Duke kinda got unlucky and got paired with an opponent in the first round that he had no hope of winning a popularity contest against.

2624. Like many people, it seems, Duke87 was the first time I had ever he Duke Nukem.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

2625. I think I already stated an opinion about this. So, to avoid having no topic at all, a new one, one that apparently, we, Dutchmen, can't get enough of: The weather. So, how's the weather in your neighbourhood?

2631. Yes, but we don't say every time that you're banned because you love Sonic, or that Sonic is the reason for your dead. I did, once, but no-one else did. I think it has something to do with us, Westerns, associating dragons with flame throwing creatures, causing death and destruction everywhere we go, while we consider Sonic as the good guy. Therefore, we find it more likely that you are killed by a dragon, than by Sonic, even though both don't exist.

2632 Well,...... genetic engineering,........ sonic would be easier, but both possible3.gif

@ Korot: Dragons can also be seen as very whise and intelligent creatures with a very strange type of mind.

Well, a real Sonic would be quite near impossible to achieve, even with genetic engineering. I guess reasons why are:

a: hedgehogs don't turn out a sapphire/cobalt blue regardless of genetics (and dying the fur blue doesn't count)

b: the quills (obvious reasons)

c: skeletal structure would have to take huge pounding, and in order to take that amount of pounding, would require a configuration that no animal would ever evolve to have (see article)

d: To reach such speeds with the best possible skeletal structure would require a lower gravity (which partially explains why the fictional planet Mobius is smaller than Earth)

e: hedgehogs aren't bipedal, upright, and 1 meter tall.

There probably are more reasons (aside from the obvious) that I forgot, but thats all I can pull right now.

I don't know what to put here anymore.

2634. There's already a real Sonic Hedgehog, although not quite what people usually have in mind...

2639. Really? Than please tell us why a dragon is difficult to achieve, so we can make our own judgement.

And regarding your earlier comments about dragons being considered wise things: In Western culture, ergo Europe and the USA, they aren't. Normally they are portrayed as guardians of a treasure, and has to be killed if you want to own the treasure, or as terrorists, burning people in nearby villages, just because he can. I know that in Eastern cultures, more specifically China, dragons are considered a thing of fortune and wisdom and the like, which is why there are so many dragon sculptures in the Forbidden City, but I was talking about dragons in Western culture.

Edit: ROFLyoshi, please add the post number in your post, thank you! And before I forget:
