Les Paul dies

Les Paul aged 94 died today in New York from complictions from pneumonia. He invented the:-
Solid bodied Electric Guitar, 8 track recorder and overdubbing amongst other things.

This guy was a legend!!! I heard a live performance from him over the radio a couple of months ago and he was still rockin!!! As SimHoTToDDy said "Rock in Peace"!!!

I remember watching him on TV for his 75th B-Day where he and Eddie Van Halen played against each other. After about 5-10 minutes of the two going back and forth, Eddie finally gave up. He will definitely be missed.

Very, very few people in any musical genre will ever affect music as much as Les Paul. An all-around genius, his shoes will go eternally unfilled.

No not at all. He was the inventor of the Les Paul but he has no direct influence on the prices. They will still be made by Gibson and Epiphone in the same quantity that they were made before and sold for the same price that they were before he died.

Only the ones he played on or built himself.that is if there are any of those around.
