Rangers Keep pluging along even after that wierd 18-10 game.

won thier last 3. Lucky for  the rangers Mike Young is only out for 2 weeks. to bad that the strech run,

3.5 out in the west, 3.0 for wild card. Angels play Red soxs and Yankees soon so we could catch up and win the west, we just need to win uor games against the spares we have coming up

I went to my rival's stadium today for a tour (Fenway Park in Boston). My family happened to be staying in Boston on our way up to the White Mountains in New Hampshire, and we went for a quick tour of Fenway Park. Beautiful stadium, bad team! 3.gif It's funny, all the people in Boston swear that they will win the 2009 World Series. Last time I checked, the Yankees were 7 games ahead and red hot! 4.gif This will be the Bomber's year! 2.gif

God Scott Feldman is such a stud. 15-4 on the season now. And Neftali Feliz is so beast. They should let him save more games, and perhaps he could assume the same role that Fransisco Rodriguiz played a few years back in their Wolrd Series championship, becoming the unhittable closer.

Scott feldman is 16-4 now, another road win for him.

Man we need double headers every day at this rate !

I think it's time for the Dodgers to fold up the tent and go home before they embarrass themselves any further. They're not going to win the division, they won't win the wild card by rolling over and playing dead all the time. This is the last year I pay attention to baseball and especially those idiots out in LA who call themselves baseball players.

Well what did you expect? On paper, the dodgers are performing pretty much in line with expectations at the beginning of the year. They exceeded expectations by a mile early on and played above where they were supposed to be. I think naturally you had to expect them to fall back down at some point. However Ithink they still have a playoff caliber team, and when the team steps its game up like it did early on, it is a legitimate world series candidate. So if the Dodgers [or as manny says, the Doyers] can get there act together in time for October, they could make a good run.

I expect them to win, just like you do with the Red Sox.

Well yes, but what does the unbiased portion of your brain think? The Red Sox fan in me expects the Red Sox to win the series, but the Baseball fan in me sees the Phillies winning the series and the Red Sox losing in the ALCS.

Sox on fire. The AL is really set it stone cept for the central. 7 games seperate the sox and yankees in the AL East. 7 games seperate the sox and rangers in the wild card, and then something like what, 10-15 games seperates the angels from the rangers? The rays have fallen off the face of the planet, they are now 13 back in the wildcard and at .500.

The rest of september should be fairly boring, although i'm interested in seeing how the NL west turns out. I really like the giants because Sandoval and Lincecum are likable stars, but i also wouldn't mind seeing troy tulowitski get some more press.

Rangers Still have 7 with Angels a shame they lost these 4 to Oakland since  The angles lost  a couple as well.

Could have gained 3 games on them.

The loss of Michael Young and Josh Hamilton to injuries really did the Rangers in. They will have to be next to flawless from here on out if they want to make the postseason. What a shame, likely a whole decade out of the playoffs for this team. MLB just is not a sport of parity like the NFL.

Well now, it seems since I quit paying attention to the Dodgers, they've caught fire again46.gif  After beating the snot out of Brad Penny and the Giants today, I admit I'm giddy with excitement again about them.  They are now 89-60 and with only 13 games left on their schedule, there's a good chance they could win 95-98 games this year and could end up with the 2nd best record in baseball behind the Yanks.  That is of course if the Yanks don't collapse and play like they did earlier in the season.  This may turn out to be a good season after all................................................for the Dodgers that is.9.gif

Sure is nice the Dodgers have a soft final 12 games before they get ready for the playoffs.  They just pounded the you-know-what out of the Nats tonight 14-2 [my kind of game] on 15 hits with 5 BB, Kershaw is back after pitching 2 innings of relief with 4 k's and no hits.  LA scored 7 in the 4th to take an 8-2 lead and 6 more in the 7th to go up 14-2.  They are now 91-60 and are well on their way to at least 97-99 wins this year.9.gif

First game of the this years playoffs is now in the books, Philly beat the hapless Rockies 5-1 to take a 1-0 lead in the NLDS.

Yankees and Twins are up next in about 15-20 minutes  and I suspect the Yanks may take Game 1.

Later on, the Cards come to LA to face the Dodgers and I have a sinking feeling that LA will be swept in 3.  They have sucked rotten eggs since before the AS game and are damn lucky they even got into the playoffs.  They still have a lot to prove to me that they're for real and not pretenders.

Dodgers have taken game 2 of the NLDS against the Cards.  The Cards are done, finished, wait til next year.  No way they're coming back to win 3 straight, no team has ever done that since Divisional play started 15 years ago and I seriously doubt the cCards will be the first to do it.

Oh and thanks Mr. Holliday for showing all the little leaguers out there how not to catch a fly ball44.gif

I just took a peak at the California Angels and Boston Red Sox game and see that Boston is trailing 4-0 in the bottom of the 7th....I tell ya, if Boston doesn't win this series against the Angels and those LA wannabes make it to the series, I will forever call them the Red Sux.3.gif

It's possible, but don't count your chickens before they hatch just yet20.gif  They still have to win the ALDS and ALCS before they can think about who they'll play in the WS and the Dodgers still have to win the NLCS yet.  The California Angels have this nasty habit of coming back late in a game, kinda like the Phillies are known for.
