What, no fans of "The Situation Room" with Wolf Blitzer or "Fareed Zakaria GPS."  Let us not even mention how much we are missing any new Star Trek series.

I must admit, however, a fascination with the absurd "Matthew's Best Hit TV," which I only get to watch via uploaded videos as I do not receive TV-Asahi.  Dressed in a hideious blonde wig and acting like a Japanese Pee-Wee Herman or Benny Hill, Matthew Minami competes with his hapless j-rock and j-pop musical guests in the bizarre world of a Japanese gameshow, and the result is far more entertaining than anything similar promotional variety program on today's MTV or VH1.

For a sample, here is a fun episode featuring young cute Yaguchi Mari of the girl pop act Morning Musume.

Gosh, Matthew gets her hyperventilating with softcore porn, mystery drinks, and drunken-spinning games!  I think my favorite is fast becoming the eating contests, where one of three offered servings has something awful hidden inside, upon eating of which the contestants must mask their reactions and fool their opponents as to which of the servings had the surprise filling.
