I use this currently (very old): https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=21305

If I install the new RTMT v3 will I be able to easily convert all my old stations to the new ones? Or wIll I need to leave them both installed? I know I could demolish the old ones and put them back but that would take many hours to do that in all my cities...

EDIT: Oh great, it makes my game crash. I belive they conflict with each other...

The general rule of thumb with plugins is to remove the old ones first, then install the new ones.   I'm guessing the same is true with the different versions of RTMT.

I'm pretty sure I had the same old version as you did, so I loaded up an old region I haven't worked on in ages.  Sure enough, the tiles formerly occupied by RTMT 2.1 pieces were blank.  If you want to upgrade to v3, you'll have to bulldoze the old stops and plop new ones.   In dense areas with big skyscrapers (where it's tough to see the road), you'll likely have to bulldoze the entire road, then redraw it, plopping new stops.  (Zone view will work perfectly for re-drawing, but you won't be able to bulldoze your old stops in that view...)

Or, you can stick with 2.1...I never had any problems with it.   But 3.0 is much better looking as far as eye-candy goes.   It's more than just paint on the road.  9.gif

Hmmm... I've got a city with both sets installed and used, and they seem to be OK. Maybe it's only certain types of stations that aren't compatable. I may not have used all of them. Have to check...

The 'Zone Data View' option in the June 2009 NAM addresses just this issue. If used, the Zone view has been altered, and the road top stations can be placed much more easliy. Just a thought...
