Just to establish something here... there is no letter of the alphabet which no pokémon's (English) name begins with. So dead-ending the chain is impossible.

However, there are no pokémon whose name ends in J, Q, or V - so Jigglypuff, Jirachi, Jolteon, Jumpluff, Jynx, Quagsire, Quilava, Qwlfish, Vaporeon, Venomoth, Venonat, Venusaur, Vespiquen, Vibrava, Victreebel, Vigoroth, Vileplume, Volbeat, Voltorb, and Vulpix will be seeing no love in this thread (aside form their mention here).
