The European city looks Greek, but it could also be somewhere else in the Balkans...

The Asian city is tricky - the flag in the propaganda posters is the Pan-Arabic one, serving for a host of countries in the Middle East. Only Yemen has the flag without any additional decals in the middle bar, but the city does not look like Sana'a at all...

Framling sure made it tough. And the picture is very... blue. I'm sure I've seen that picture before. I have no idea where though. Is it in Germany?

Oooooh, I've missed Koeln... That one was SO EASY! 15.gif

Mine was easy too, I forgot to ask Ny24 not to tell it's from the humble myself... It's the Z?ote Tarasy (literally: Golden Terraces) shopping centre spanking right in the middle of Warsaw. If you arrive by train (and force yourself to get off at the disgusting, in every way, Central Station), that's more or less the first thing you see.

    ZloteTarasyday2.jpg

This photo is hardly attractive (and I assure you, it looks rather neat in person, see other photos plenty of which are online), but you can see the bubbly glazing of the terraces (the "terraces" in question refer to the different levels of the shopping mall covered by the bulbous roof; "golden" just sounds better than "blue").

The thing at the bottom of the photo is not a Star Destroyer docking to restock at the Carrefour at -1, it's the roof of the infamous Central Station.

Ah, Warsaw! And I'm from Poland... terrible, isn't it? Well, I've never been to Warsaw in my life, so it's not THAT bad. Anyway, it looks meditteranean. By the sea. It looks very nice. I have no idea where it is though.

Dominiku, no wiesz co! Stolicy w?asnej nie pozna?!

I understand I get to post the next city, which is coming right through, I am looking for a good pic....

    MEANWHILE

I will make up for a little omission - Ny24 did not put up the mandatory Tourist Board video for Warsaw. So, here I go:

Here's a combo somebody made from the best "artsy" photos of the city centre available online. It only presents a fraction of the city's landmarks and sights, and the music is crappy (it doesn't even run until the end of the vid). I recommend listening to one of your favorite songs while watching:

This one offers a more "pedestrian" view, with more variety and a SLIGHTLY better selection of music.

OK, so here's my riddle - this European city survived many ups and down, having been at the heart of most of the continent's turbulent history. It is most renowned for its lavish historic buildings.

Which is why I chose this picture:

    itsrightthereinfrontofy.jpg

It contains all the clues you need. I do hope it will last more than 15 minutes 4.gif

    "Am I bovvered?"

    - "No, you're not bothered because you're 15 years old and you don't even know where Bristol is!"

    - "Don't need to know, I ain't a farmer"
