So far they have no plans for us MAC users. 15.gif Until they do you'll just have to use bootcamp and run windows. Thats what I am doing right now and it is working, but very annoying to have to use windows! Like over night windows restarted itself so now I have to wait another 6 hours for cities to download. 15.gif Oh well!

I'm sure the Wine community will give it a go, if Wine runs it then the Apple version (Cider, I think it's called) should too.

They have stated they may make it for Mac, but will focus on Windows first (which makes sense). Plays quite well on Alu Macbook 2.0ghz with nVidia 9400M in Windows Vista.

Cedega/Cider has worked flawlessly on my friend's core2duo macbook or "mackbook" is what he calls it since it's pimped with laser etching LOLz. runs oblivion just fine. Also it runs assassin's creed and other games pretty well.

if MC can make this game suppoted on that platform using cider/cedega, then it will not require them to do much.

I really do hope they put it on native MAC ... to be honest, I don't like using emulators.

I play SC4 in my Intel iMac using Boot Camp, no emulator. Plays just fine.

From the requirements, it looks like I should be able to play Cities XL with no issues as well.

"Whether it be the sweeping eagle in his flight, or the open apple-blossom, the toiling work-horse, the blithe swan, the branching oak, the winding stream at its base, the drifting clouds, over all the coursing sun, form ever follows function, and this is the law."

—Louis H. Sullivan, "The tall office building artistically considered." Lippincott's Magazine, March 1896.

If you want to run this game, like many others, then your best to run it natively in boot camp on any Intel Mac. It works fine under boot camp.

the problem is that mac users have to wait for a mac version developed with Cider, which i have heard EA used on Spore.

so i don't know why Monte Cristo couldn't do the sam on cities xl.

to be honest i hope they do.
