Hello and welcome to the offseason for the preparation of the 2009-2010 Season the 6th Season of STHL hockey!

2008-2009 Recap

now let's look back for a second at the 2008-2009 season.After a gruling 82 game season The playoffs saw 16 teams make the dance.In the Don Cherry Conference the Pawtcuket Leprechauns,New London Flames,Rorysville Frostbite,Storalvoy Seahawks,Mt.Fresca Mountaineers,River City River Otters,Paradise Valley BlueJets,and the Medaille Mavericks all in.We saw some early upsets and some of the longest games in STHL history.Through the Conference Playoffs the Frostbite would again drive their way through to the Gretzky Cup Finals.Meanwhile in the Bobby Orr Conference the Portview Penguins,Lion de Rajavick,Pierre Scouts,Earlton Emperors,Capital Jetliners,Alamosa Kings,Empire Bulls,and National City Ducks were the elite 8.Through the BOC playoffs we saw exciting game 7's and some of the best series in the 09 Playoffs.The Earlton Emperors would again make it through the Conference for a rematch of last years final.in the Final we saw back and forth action as these 2 bitter rivals met for the ultimate goal in the end the Earlton Emperors reigned supreme.

2009-2010 Season
17 teams are returning from the 08-09 season including 2 franchises celebrating their 5th Season the Medaille Mavericks and Rorysville Frostbite will play in 2 Heritage games 1 at each teams home and will feature retro Uniforms.The waiting list for teams this upcomming season started filling up before last season was even halfway over.Membership is strong and we look to wlecome 13 new Franchises into the Greatest League in the Simsports World.

Well

Logo's will now be crested so when they appear on a uniform they actually look like a uniform's patche

Uniforms will now look more like a pro/high end jersey

actually your roster is already set you'll take over one of last years teams we don't re-draft ever year you will however be able to get UFA's and the entry draft selection depending on who you take over

well not much right  now as it is the offseason, Cannuck did update the website, so that is  a little fun to look at.

Yeah Offeseason junk is the boring part as I get rosters taken care of and uniforms,goaliegear,boards,ice all taken care of.

I have an announcement there will be 2 Outdoor Games this year! Rorysville and Medaille will each host a game who they will play will be announced later on

both games are part of the Heritage series celebrating the 5th Season of the 2 franchises. The Dates will be released at the same time as the Rest of the STHL schedule.

ok so the STHL Entry Draft took place Yesterday

Here we are the 2009-2010 STHL Entry Draft

First up the draft order. The Draft Order was determined by a Lottery for the first 5 picks. The Remaining 25 Picks were decided by standings from the 2008-2009 Season and Playoffs.(Note:New Teams your ranking in the draft order is based on which team's roster you absorbed)The Draft Will be 2 Rounds and will feture players from both the 2009 NHL Entery Draft and prospects added late in the NHL season that didn't make the STHL Roster.

Draft Lottery:
The Draft Lottery will Feature the 5 Teams with the lowest Point totals from last season.Each team will have an increased chance at the first pick but the teams will have their chances weighted by a select number of balls.

the Draft has been completed(took me 4 hours lol). The draft was done very simply. I identified your teams need(shortness in a position or weakness in a position) and frm that took the player who best fit your club in each position the overall ratings don't tell you everything they also change as a player is on certain teams and certain lines, but what I can tell you 75% of the draft picks made a starting lineup for a team(the other 25% are in a reserve roll on the Rosters).
