Buildings ploppable mod issue

I downloaded gizomcity/buggy's buildings ploppable mod from the STEX a few months ago, and by following the instructions it worked perfectly, the population of my current city increased largely just by plopping concrete blocks in typical patterns, like in the real world, and the growing population seemed to affect the commercial and industrial demand in the city, as well as the adjacent suburbs. The only problem with the mod was that the plopped buildings didn't show any traffic patterns, they had no "commuters", like all those sims worked at home behind their PCs. No problem to me, as long as the buildings didn't abandon. At a certain moment I changed something in regional planning by adding more low-dense commercial areas to the surrounding cities, this to make the region look more aesthetic. I hoped this would result only in a slight change in residential demand, but suddenly all plopped residential buildings in my central city abandoned (without exception), after showing the "unemployed" sign, and the query said  they abandoned due to commute time. The only thing I can think of that could have caused this is that I use the NAM in a certain configuration, which is maybe not compatible with this mod, but the info box at the STEX says all traffic mods are compatible.

PS the plopped buildings don't "repopulate" so it's a real problem

Tell me what's the problem...

You can easily solve that problem by plopping them on growing residential buildings in zoned areas. I'm talking about buildings that abandon after years.

    Hi, Martin,

Yes, I am familiar with this mod, and have used it in a limited fashion if I had tried every other method to get a dearly desired residential building to grow and had failed.  I do always plop over a grown building.  Sometimes it works, sometimes they abandon anyway, even after years.  I'm not sure why.  So this is why I don't use it extensively.  I figure that it just isn't really how the game was designed to work, that it could have other undesired effects, and let it go at that.  If you are curious if it is affected by the NAM, I would suggest trying it in a test city without the NAM installed.  One can also try to recreate the problem by redoing what led up to it in this test city, such as the zoning you did.  Since it adds to the game for you to have this feature, I hope that you can get it to work.

    Wish I could help more.
