Hi all. I'm trying to switch my sims from driving on the left side to driving on the right side. Got the European version and selected English, not knowing that would mean the sims start driving on the left side...

Anyways, I'm trying to do the switch as described on the Omnibus (https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=149&threadid=103289&enterthread=y&STARTPAGE=1) but when I go to the regedit, there is no Maxis file in the Software folder.

Is it in a different location on Vista 64bit? Or can anyone tell me how I could find it?

I never really minded the sims driving on the left side, but with making custom interchanges with the RHW it's doing my head in to the point of having a headache haha.

Thanks!

I don't run Vista 64, so I'm not sure, but try HKEY_CURRENT_USER and some of the other keys. Just do some hunting until you find it, unless anybody with knowledge on Vista 64 can suggest something better.

You have to get the american version , the language being english doesn' tchange anything else , because there are english countries that drive on the left-hand-side.

try getting the american version , I hope this helps.

I doubt that's the problem though. I can't imagine the European version being left hand drive by definition. The only countries in Europe that drive on the left hand side are UK and Ireland as far as I know.

SmartRoss1, thanks for your help. Unfortunately I couldn't find it in there either. The whole regedit place freaks me out a little, so I don't want to mess around in there too much. Don't want to screw up my pc... I'm depending on it for work.

    Anyone else?

Been searching around manually and finally found it. For anyone else who might have the same problem now or in the future, I found the language file that needed to be edited in the following location in the regedit:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Maxis > SimCity4 > 1.0
