Welcome to Mike's Showcase II !

CLICK HERE TO VISIT THE TABLE OF CONTENTS FOR MIKE'S SHOWCASE II !

Thanks for checking out my city journal, entitled Mike's Showcase II. I have been working on a few cities lately and I'd love to showcase them. First what I would like to do is present some of my earliest work. I have had three previous city journals before Mike's Showcase I: Tropicana Islands (which for some reason I can't find right now), Euphora, and Cabel Bay Republic. I'd love to share some pictures from these city journals that were from 2005 and 2006!

List of past city journals:

Euphora

Cabel Bay Republic

Mike's Showcase I

The first city journal I'd like to showcase is Euphora. You can visit the whole thread by clicking this link. Note that some pictures are gone! Old age took them away! 3.gif

Hope you enjoyed these pictures!

They're about 4 years old!!! WOW! 43.gif

The lack of custom content shows... much of the better custom content that we have on Simtropolis now was created well after this journal was out. Thanks for looking! 4.gif

The Cabel Bay Republic (July 2005 - December 2005)

This is one of my older journals, the Cabel Bay Republic. I started it in July of 2005. Again, it's kinda like Euphora. A lot of custom content really wasn't created yet, so it's quite Maxis-ish.  This is my real first experimentation with Carribean/tropical style cities! But still I enjoyed this journal and I hope you did too (if you were around). If not, enjoy it now! 4.gif

     Be Patient!

Hey guys, my new city journal entitled "The Kingdom of Greenbriar" will start very soon. I'm already laying down some highways and major arteries in the new region. This is where the largest city in the kingdom will be. Take a look:

Oh yes, 2005, that was the year I started my Cj Urland, too ...  It was good time, not much custom content but a lot of great CJers who did the best out of tzhe limited material ... Maybe I should dig abit in old pictures, too!

Nice new area. Good proportion of hills and flatlands. Im looking forward where you are going to go! 1.gif

    Take care my friend!

    Incorvia - The Capital City

Welcome back to Mike's Showcase. I know I haven't updated in a while, I was busy building up the Greenbriar region. It is nearing completion and I'm really happy and can't wait to show you my progress.

Updates will be more regular now. First we'll start off with Incorvia. Here are two pictures of the downtown area. Stay tuned for more on Greenbriar's capital city!

    Welcome back to The Kingdom!

Today we will be looking at Greenbriar's capital, and largest city, INCORVIA!

    THE AREA OF DETAIL:

    Greenbriarmapfs.jpg?t=1254687415

    Downtown Incorvia

Incorvia is the largest city in the kingdom, and it sits in the beautiful, lush Greenbriar Valley.

It has a distinct skyline and many beautiful buildings.

The city centre is known for its many parks. Amidst the concrete jungle of downtown, portions of the natural valley have been preserved and are enjoyed by many who live and work there.

    Incorvia-Jul27201254685843.jpg?t=1254687

Incorvia is also known for its railroad system. The rails are elevated on aqueducts that direct many trains in and out of the city center.

Here is Incorvia Station, home of the largest railroad station in Greenbriar.

    Incorvia-Jul11201254685692.jpg?t=1254687

A view of the brick aqueducts headed towards Incorvia station. The Coca Cola Headquarters are located right by the train tracks in downtown.

    Incorvia-Jul30201254685868.jpg?t=1254687

The Greenbriar Valley has its own monorail system. It links downtown Incorvia with Greenbriar Int'l Airport.

    Incorvia-Aug16201254685977.jpg?t=1254687

Here is one of the many parks in downtown: GRAMMAR PARK.
