Add-on/mods dont work

I downloaded NAM and all the stuff that needs to go it that they say that needs to be added but I wont work. I added it to the Plug-in folder. Here are the NAMs I downloaded:

-NAM Essentials

-Network Addon Mod (January 2009) for PC

Is there others I need to add or did I put them in the right folder?

Im new to Mods and I do know ho to add plobables and few other adds but theses ones wont work and/or doesnt show detail.

-Jeronij CMD Walls Addon Ramps

1)Jeronij Concrete Wall AddOn ver. 1.3

2)

-Hole Digging Lots

-Park Trails by New023 (The trails dont show but the grass does)

Can anyone help me on these. Thanks

You need to unzip the file and run it. It's a .exe file, basically an installer file. It doesn't work like bats and whatnot. You can't simply drag it in. I hope that helps.

If you unzip them and put them in the Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins folder, the various NAM items should show up in the different mens. Did you use the installer (PC) version , and what exactly is happening that makes you think it's not working?

Sorry, Im new to this but what do you mean by Unziping them and run it?

You mean besides doing the extract all, just drag them into plug-in like what you do with MP3/Ipods?

The others dont work at all. Onlt the park trails work somewhat, the area works but the paths dont work. It says theres no dependancy on that one. The sunken Highway wont work as far as I know. the sunken highway walls doesnt show up anywhere on the menue

Yes, if you're extracting them and placing the files in the Plugins, that should do it. Except if there is an installer (exe file) such as the NAM.You need to run that and the files will be placed for you.

For the parks lot you mentioned, I noticed in the comments there could be dependency issues with it. You might try another set. For the sunken walls, I believe you should find them in the Power menu. That's not the usual place for these types of lots, but that's where they'll be. Also, you might need this for them to work as they are addons to the original set. It's a LEX download, so you'll need to register there if not. Let us know how it goes...

Thanks for the help, it works now. One more question. Do I have to run the rest of the NAMS that I add to it or just the main one?

Not sure what you mean by 'the rest of the NAMs'. If you mean some of the addons like RHW, SAM, HSR, Additional Bridges,etc., then yes, they all need to be installed separately after installing NAM. If I'm not understanding you, let us know...

I think you mean the different versions. Example, do you need NAM March 2009 and January 2009 and blah blah. No you do not. You only need the newest version which is NAM March 2009. And sorry for not describing in detail what to do, I was on a PDA and in a hurry. I hope this answers your question.
