ever notice how the artwork for sim city has crazy bridges and sky ways that go off on all angels... where are these bridges in the game... i could see how this game could get your hopes up even before your first crash.

does anyone know where i can get the puget sound region from the picture on the back of the box? they show pictures of it in the instruction manual as well.

it's a beautifully layed out region & i would like to explore it more in depth.

thedude1: Unfortunately, the region Puget Sound isn't available in-game, there's only Timbuktu or Maxisland, along with New York, London, and some other regions that I forget.

I'd also like to see the region. I think someone might have it on the STEX (not the exact one) but still a replica of Puget Sound, and, seeing as the one shown on the box and manual is modeled after the real Puget Sound (in Oregon), they should be similar.

YEs, I remember that feeling from SC2000. Not even close to the picture.

As far as the crazy bridges are concerned, I don't think there is any way make bridges look like that in the game.

As far as Puget Sound, I've never seen it except for on the box, so I doubt it's out there. Mabye there is a map/region of the actual Puget sound in Oregon, but not the one seen on the box, as that has cities, and it's not allowed to upload cities here.

Last I heard, Puget Sound was in Washington and bordered the corner of British Columbia. When did it move south? 47.gif

Anyhow, I do know what people mean by game box art. But it's nowhere as bad as back in the Atari 2600 days. Back then the game art was way way cooler than game itself ever was. I guess the disappointment nowadays is that the average computer is actually capable of rendering the same type of imagery seen in the box art, so the expectations are higher. I suppose that's just part of living with marketing hype, especially from companies like EA. Still that doesn't make the game any less fun in regards to what you can do with it.
