Region View Texture Bug

Here we have a screenshot showing the obvious problem:

Whenever I save a city then exit back to region view, the tile turns into the default maxis terrain, with no buildings or anything. When I load the tile, it is still what it used to be, with all terrain and buildings. Does anyone know how to fix this? As you can see, it only started happening recently. I am using the Colombia terrain mod. Thanks.

This is something that seems to occur now and then. Have you tried to re-save the city? If you re-enter the city and save it, the image in the region view will probably return. Let us know...

I had something simmilar that occured due to lack of space on my disc where the region was saved.

oh... just go into the city , and click the "save and exit to region" button , it occurs only if you click the save button , then exit to the region immediately after.

it also occurs if you use the "quick-save" feature (ctrl+s) it saves a bit faster , but it doesn't save a region thumbnail.

This has happened with two other cities, but I will try saving it again...

Odd that re-saving didn't work... I've never had that not fix the issue. Hmmm... Something else you might try is to import a copy of the city if you're familiar with the Import process. You can find the city file in the region folder and copy/paste it into the Downloads folder (which should also be in the Region folder. Once in the game, import the city into the same spot. I'm not sure if this will work as I think the region view image is part of the city file (I may be wrong on that), but it is something to try. Oh , be sure to backup your region before doing this... Just in case.

are you sure you re-saved using the save-button?

every time that happens to me... I can just resave it.

I hope I can help you... I have literally had that problem about 3 dozen times.

did you try the "save any exit" or "Save and quit" save options? , I don't really know , but that might help.

also , really big cities , on a slow computer have been rumored to have this problem too... though I have never heard actual cases of it. you might try to kill as many processes on your computer as possible , and temporarily turn off your virus scanner.

I Hope this helps , I really have no idea why it didn't work.
