If we win, I wonder if the cities we build with the game perhaps become included as demos? I know with Simcity 2000 and 3000, the game came loaded with a bunch of saved cities that were presumably made by people who got to test the game.

Wow... I hadn't gotten around to really looking closely at CitiesXL and after I signed up for beta testing I've been checking it out... this is going to be sweet. It's like everything that we wished SC4 could be... As soon as I saw the highways and a roundabout I was sold...

If this Beta Registration keeps going any longer, I'm probably going to Sign up again since I'm getting a new Computer soonish.

I wonder if this is going to be a random Lottery type of selection, or are MC going to hand-pick a select few? Hand picking makes more sense I guess; no point giving the Beta to somebody with a computer that lacks the requirements.

It's been almost a month since I registered... It's not that I'm impatient... but it's summer... (OK OK I'm impatient)

I want to go hunting for bugs... anyone heard word as to when the beta launches?

Seeing how they set a release date and everything, shouldn't the beta test be coming up soon? They only have a few months till then, plus they have to take time to package and ship them out so... not long at all.

According to a post on MC's website by a MC employee they are not ready to Beta test yet. So this may be a whopping 1 to 2 month Beta test, which will be no where near enough time.

Wow... didn't notice a release date... I'll bet that the beta will start at the beginning of June and run until August. I wouldn't be surprised if they announce mid July that they're postponing the release (I wonder when we'll get the US release... I'm not used to Euro releases before US) Since the announced release date is for France and Germany, is the game in English currently?

Edit: Just saw the release thread... French and German Languages it is...  I don't remember the beta signup asking about languages.  I don't know French or German, not that that will stop me from trying to beta test...
