The worm is set to set out on its "D-Day" on April 1st and attack millions of PC's, stealing information, credit card numbers, emails, and any important set of info.

I've already encountered weird emails and even this on the main page. Scratch that, its come to my attention the image below is an april fools joke.

PS: I have fully searched my Hard Drive to find symptoms and I wasn't able to find one with MBAM or my current AV. My window files work fine as well. I'm safe.

Yeah, it's fine. It's just Dirk giving out his April fools day fun! Glad nothing has happened. I think it was either a hoax or the maker is waiting for the heat to cool down before he strikes. A lot of people probably have free trail versions of virus software so he might wait the 30-90 days when they expire. It's what I would do. I would waste time making it just to have it stopped in it's tracks.

Oh wow, I didn't know about this until just now.

I can still connect to anti-virus sites, so I'm probably in the green, scary thought though, someone out there in control of 9-15million computers. Why someone would take such a risk and do something like that is beyond me.

Hopefully they bust this guy (or shut 'em down) before the payload is delivered.

I would still be carefully because you might have it, it just hasn't activated yet or you can still get it. Luckily I backed up everything so if my computer has it, I simple pop in my reinstall XP disc and start fresh.

Yeah this is true, it infected over 10million computers before 1st April.

Microsoft is offering a $250k reward to the guy who created it, because its a criminal offence.

rumor has it, the worm infected the house of commons comp. doubt it

I was thinking that too, and it's entirelly possible, but like I said before I think it's more likely the maker of it might be laying low till all the heat is off or unti all of those free trials are up. Or it could have been a false threat by a group of virus makers. Who really knows.
