Sexual orientation is about as newsworthy as the kind of milk you drink. quote>

For the record, full fat (which is only 3% anyway...) homogenized.

No fat milk? What exactly is the point? You may as well pour water on your weet bix.

Hi Dev! And welcome back!

On the the topic of milk, whole milk is the only one I drink! Better for brain development, the fats in it are. Plus, I can always use some extra weight. 3.gif

And Duke, maybe (I in no way know for sure) whole milk is of a different fat percentage in New Zealand? Anyone know?

Yes, this is kitty.

Well colour me surprised.

And I prefer 2%. Homo milk is too rich for my tastes, and 1% is too watery. 2% has the perfect balance.

Homo milk in NZ is 3% on the Kinsey Scale.   Blue Top actually.

After all what colour is on top is important.

New Zealand

  • Purple top - full fat milk
  • Dark blue top - standard fat milk
  • Light blue top - "lite"(light fat) milk
  • Dark green top - trim (semi skimmed) milk
  • Light green top - trim (fully skimmed) milk
  • Yellow top - trim (fully skimmed with added calcium) milk
  • Red top - fresh cream

Hmm....

United States

  • Red tops - whole milk.
  • Green tops - skim milk.
  • Blue tops - 2% milk.
  • Purple tops - 1% milk.
  • Brown tops - chocolate milk.
  • Yellow tops - buttermilk.
  • White tops - Unhomogenized milk.
  • Black tops - Unpasteurized milk.

And yet, the caps on Nesquik bottles are blue. Then again, those aren't typically shaped milk bottles.

I'l also note that I don't think I've ever seen anything labeled "Homo Milk" in the store. Where do they sell this stuff?

I've never seen a green topped milk carton here in the states. Skim milk in the stores around here is usually sold in a light blue topped carton. For the record, I prefer to drink skim but I like 2% on my cereal.

Dev?  Is that you?

Yes, indeed. Since college, and working in theatre I've 'grown up' and really opened my mind up in a major way. Plus finally embraced what was locked in side of me for so long in rural hickville, Alabama. I'm sure it's so shocking it's unbelievable...haha! But it's true. It's embarrassing to think of how ridiculous I used to be.

I was wondering how it is being gay in the southern states of the US. As fas as I know, they aren't the most tolerant people.

Indeed they are not.  It's still open hostility down there.  I once was driving down the road and passed a big pickup truck with a sticker on the window depicting a kid pissing on the word "fags."

I'm pleased that such things are illegal here in Canada.  4.gif

I have to admit; I didn't see that coming.  3.gif

Well, you were very young and very sheltered.   Hadn't had much of a chance yet, really.

It's good to see that you are growing up and expanding your horizons.

A sticker on a window depicting a kid pissing on the word "fags" isn't illegal in Canada, it's just rare. I do see the occasional truck with a rebel flag or "Caucasian Pride" on it, which is strange because we're no where near the US south and only have maybe 500 people from the Caucasus, so what are the chances that one of those 500 would also sympathize with the US South with regards to state's rights?

Wouldn't it qualify as "hate speech?"  The police forced someone to take a banner off of their balcony in Toronto that had something similar on it.

Generally there has to be a victim or it has to incite violence. It isn't really doing that. It might be considered hate speech but I wouldn't depend on that. You'd have to talk to someone who knows the law better.

I am quite strait. I respect all sexual orientation, likes, and dislikes. I agree, I think this is a very interesting topic. I am proud to be from Ct, one of the few states in the US that has legalized gay marriage. In fact, one of the first couples to get married here was my friends parents.

As for milk, well, I keep it old school with whole milk.

I never realized that there was a considerable gay community on Simtropolis....

Maybe suggests something about SC4?

I should probably stop playing it then.... lolll

Anyway, here's my opinion... I don't really know how to define my sexuality, as I swing regularly (most days) between men and women in terms of preference. I like heavy male stereotypes, and heavy female stereotypes in their respective genders. I don't really like the whole 'pride' thing (fine with other people, just I hate it when people suggest it to me) and I don't like the 'queer'/'queen' image... like tight pink clothes, squeaky nasal voice and such. I guess this is because while i'm definitely not straight, I am quite camp and resent it. But, basically, I don't identify myself as 'bisexual' because I don't value each gender equally. I see a long term relationship with a woman as plausible, but with a man, I really don't. A relationship maybe, some sort of mutual exclusivity, but I don't know really... Having a boyfriend seems very foreign to me. Yet, I don't want to abandon the idea. I'm annoyed as a lot of people offer advice but I can never give them direction.

I found out about it all the hard way, naturally, with a painful embarrassing experience...

That's my... story? I dunno....

Ian!  Now cut that out!  Curly braces don't suit you at all.  If anything, you probably wear a belt.

I'm going to assume there aren't that many gay science students at my university - pretty much every event in pride week conflicts with a lecture.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

A "lecture?"  Fascinating.  Are they still doing those in universities?  Since no professors at mine did that, I assumed they'd fallen out of favor.
